Over my "Carnaval Vakantie", I went home to my mother's house in Germany for a week to escape the world of university. It was great to be back in Germany. The people, the food and the quiet is just fantastic. The rest was needed.

During my week home I spent plenty of time with my mother, and tried to spend time with my little sister but that didn't go too well. You can't say I didn't try. It seems that we can get along at times, but then she just gets angry and throws a fit. Its a shame, but there isn't much I can do if she doesn't even want to talk to me. Because of that, my time polarized towards spending time with my mother, whom I haven't seen since Christmas/New Year's.

She took Tuesday and Wednesday off of work, which is getting rather hectic at the moment because of Ukraine, and it's causing us all a lot of stress as the situation directly affects her. (I'm not allowed to go into any more detail than that unfortunately. Those of you who know me in-person know why.) Anywho, Tuesday we just chilled together, had coffee and what not. We also went bowling, so that was amusing. She still kicks my ass even though I average out at around 130 points. This is simply unacceptable. SHAMEFUL DISPLAY! Wednesday was spent with me getting a hair cut and going to Trier, a German city on the Mosel river. Now I would have taken many pictures including the street sign which reads: "Judengasse" (Which made my mother crack up in public when I pointed it out... Am I a bad person?) however my hands were full carrying the bags full of models which I had bought at the Galeria Kaufhaus. Lets just say I may have "relapsed" into an old hobby of mine :P

So, Thursday was spent with me chilling on-post where I talked to a lot of the soldiers stationed there, and that evening we went to the Belgian support unit's bar. It was a blast. Not only did I have a number of good conversations with people, my mother's colleges bought me drinks. Fun.

With that, I've returned home again. So hi.
