Over my "Carnaval Vakantie", I went home to my mother's house in Germany for a week to escape the world of university. It was great to be back in Germany. The people, the food and the quiet is just fantastic. The rest was needed.
During my week home I spent plenty of time with my mother, and tried to spend time with my little sister but that didn't go too well. You can't say I didn't try. It seems that we can get along at times, but then she just gets angry and throws a fit. Its a shame, but there isn't much I can do if she doesn't even want to talk to me. Because of that, my time polarized towards spending time with my mother, whom I haven't seen since Christmas/New Year's.
She took Tuesday and Wednesday off of work, which is getting rather hectic at the moment because of Ukraine, and it's causing us all a lot of stress as the situation directly affects her. (I'm not allowed to go into any more detail than that unfortunately. Those of you who know me in-person know why.) Anywho, Tuesday we just chilled together, had coffee and what not. We also went bowling, so that was amusing. She still kicks my ass even though I average out at around 130 points. This is simply unacceptable. SHAMEFUL DISPLAY! Wednesday was spent with me getting a hair cut and going to Trier, a German city on the Mosel river. Now I would have taken many pictures including the street sign which reads: "Judengasse" (Which made my mother crack up in public when I pointed it out... Am I a bad person?) however my hands were full carrying the bags full of models which I had bought at the Galeria Kaufhaus. Lets just say I may have "relapsed" into an old hobby of mine
So, Thursday was spent with me chilling on-post where I talked to a lot of the soldiers stationed there, and that evening we went to the Belgian support unit's bar. It was a blast. Not only did I have a number of good conversations with people, my mother's colleges bought me drinks. Fun.
With that, I've returned home again. So hi.

Happy New Year Everyone!
So, its the last day of the year, and I want to wish each and every one of you a fantastic new year, with much prosperity and happiness. May 2015 good year filled with great things.
That said, time to address something really quick. I haven't been posting for quite awhile now (I believe that the last time I posted anything was during the summer?) and chances are that that will stay that way for awhile unless there's still snow when I get home. I apologize, but there's a lot of things going on right now as far as uni goes, and I don't have as much free time to travel as I used to now that I have this thing some people refer to as a "social li
Lemmings. Lemmings everywhere.
Life feels like a whirlpool these days, spinning faster and faster. If you look up, I can see where I want to be, and if I look down, I see all the things I need to do. Its quite funny really, because everything is gong well for me ranging from social life, to uni (which I'll get to in a moment...) to "ma luvv life". Things are looking up as opposed to a year ago, funny how things change, hey?
So, lets talk about uni for a moment, since that's what the title is actually about. I'm hopping over to UM as of next year because I'm bored at my current uni. Sure, orchestrating a group project while still having more than enough time to get bored a
Inactivity
I apologize for my lack of activity lately, things have been a bit rough as far as exams go, then a few things in my personal life have happened as well, the worst of which was a family member who I held very dear to me passed away last week. I don't know when I'll be posting any pictures or anything again, but I guess you'll see when I do.

The Holiday Journal Entry
Its been awhile since I last updated this, so I figured I would merge my planned Christmas journal entry with that of the new year and everything relevant in the near future.
So, as I mentioned in my last entry, I'm "home" -wherever that is- for the holidays. Its my first time back since the summer, and I have to say that its a welcome change in pace. Everything from the darkness at night to the armed checkpoint at the entrance to the post kind of reminds me of when I was little, and its nice in a way. Here, there are no worries, and nothing bothers me. I've even let my phone die so I don't get messages from back home. Sure, I do check faceb
